On July 27, 2007 I was born and everyone from both sides of my family were there, including my great grandparents, grandparents, great uncle and uncle. I was born in Austin, Texas. My family still tell me stories about how long  they were stuck in the waiting room because I took so long to arrive. According to my universal truth I will always be connected to Austin, Texas and my early experiences for my entire life.

I went to my mum’s hometown in England where my grandma and grandpa lived. I’ve been very fortunate to visit England multiple times because my mom wants me to feel comfortable in England as well as America. My favorite thing about England is crumpets and lasagna made by our family friend. My favorite thing about living in Austin is Domino’s pizza.

I went to my first day of Elementary School in August 2012. I made lots of friends who I hope to keep in touch with because we share similar experiences.

I went to Looe, a place my mum used to go to as a kid, for the first time in 2012. I feel connected to Looe because I’ve been there a few times and I have happy memories of eating ice cream with my granddad and playing in the arcade with my grandma. If I have kids maybe I’ll take them to Looe and continue the connection.

I first played basketball, a sport that my grandpa inspired me to play, back in 2013. I already have many stories to share including breaking my wrist. I play at the east side YMCA where many of the coaches have been supporting me since I was a little boy

On March 28, 2015 my grandpa passed away. My favorite memories of my grandpa are playing soccer with him, swimming with him and how he always hated it when there were vacuums out in restaurants.

In 2016, my grandma and Boompa looked after me for 2 weeks here in Austin and we had a lot of fun. I was the first out of 14 grandchildren to call him Boompa because he told me once that that was what he called his grandpa.

In December 2017 my mom, dad, grandma and I went on a cruise in Hawaii. My grandma has decided that the best gifts are having experiences where we get to spend time together. I am very lucky to be getting to create memories.

On July 27 2018, I turned 11 years old and everyone in my family came to celebrate. This was the first time we were all together on my birthday since the day I was born. I got to hear lots of stories that continue to connect me to my family and my home.
